Entry list. Great Britain
By mid April sailors from Great Britain are in the second largest fleet (after Russia, of course) already entered for the upcoming European Championship. This is not surprising at all, as the sailing traditions in the United Kingdom are very strong and widely known. Nevertheless, it is now the right moment to introduce the British riders who will arrive in St. Petersburg.

On the territory of St.Petersburg Yacht Club there was held Russian Dragon Open Championship. Regatta was held in full compliance with rules and regulations, all the seven flights planned were held, prizes and medals were awarded to the winners. The Championship appeared to be the practice area if to speak of the 2016 European Championship. Were all the plans fulfilled? This question was answered by Tatiana Kurbatova, Director of the Regatta and Executive Director of Russian Dragon Association.
Russian Dragon Open: the Winners are Announced
2015 Russian Dragon Open Championship 2015 in St. Petersburg is over. Here is medal count for the Championship : the gold winner is Dmitry Samokhin (RUS 76), the silver prize winner of the recently held World Dragon Championship; silver was taken by the crew of Anatoly Loginov (RUS 27), the winner of the Dragon Gold Cup, Igor Skalin (RUS 47), silver prize winner of 1996 Summer Oympics, bagged the bronze medal.

On the Eve of the Finals
Only one match race has been held out of the two planned. And that one started one hour later because of the strong wind. It was decided not to hold the second race as the waves were splashing on decks, and sailors, and the TV teams onboard – it made sailing in the strong western wind with gusts up to 24 knots next to impossible to survive, be safe and sound for the athletes and the boats.
Racing Day Two: incredible friendly atmosphere and sports dramas struggle
The forecast and preliminary information from Ministry of Extraordinary Situations (MCHS or EMERCOM) about stormy weather on the 23rd of July, 2015 were taken into consideration but the weather decided not to upset the sailors of so respected class thus the finest match racing teams enjoyed better weather conditions than it was forecasted. Both of the flights took place according to the schedule. Believe it or not but the participants of the competition were playing chess on water – that is exactly how the competitions of this dragon class yachts are often called: the crews had to battle their opponents fighting for every single centimeter. Anatoly Loginov (RUS 27), Oleg Evdokimenko (RUS 47) Dmitry Samokhin (RUS 76) became today the leaders in the first flight. Results of the second flight of the day: Vasily Senatorov (RUS 34), Igor Goyhberg (RUS 98), Dmitry Samokhin (RUS 76).
2015 Russian Dragon Open – First Racing Day
The weather met the sailors with rain and blustery wind, gusts up to 23 knots. The waters of the Finnish Bay were brightened by 19 yachts with the strongest athletes from Russia, Belorussia and Finland. During the Opening Ceremony the participants were welcomed by Vasily Senatorov, President of the Russian Dragon Association and Vice President of the International Association as well as by Victor Los, Vice-President of the Russian Dragon Association and Commodore of St.Petersburg Yacht Club and Tatiana Kurbatova, Executive Director of the Russian Association, Director of the regatta.
