The first day of racing started with skipper’s meeting. The chief referee Vladimir Komel announced that twenty yachts are allowed to participate in the race. Also the protest committee was introduced to yachtsmen: it was composed of Vadim Pribylov, Alexei Borisov and Iana Dobzhitskaya.
Immediately after the meeting, it was an official opening ceremony of the championship. The presentations were made by the head of the National Association of class “Dragon” Dmitry Samohin, Vice-Commandor Yacht Club of St. Petersburg Victor Los and regatta director Tatiana Kurbatova.
Competition organizers welcomed participants and wished them a memorizing and fair competition.
According to the decision of the Race Committee ,first race was delayed by one hour. But now all boats have already left the harbor and went to the area of race distance.
