Two races, scheduled for today’s morning had been completed by 15 o’clock . Today weather conditions were more comfortable, than day before. However, races were thrilling. Today we could see our leaders since upper sign. Anatoly Loginov (RUS27, Annapurna), Oleg Evdokimenko (RUS47, Sasha) and Dmitry Samohin (RUS76, Melody Nelson) rounded first and held their positions until finish line.
At break time judges changed distance because of light wind. At the end of competition Vladimir Komel(chief referee) noticed that changing of distance didn’t solved the problem. “Day was difficult for judges and for sailors. But we are happy, that kept schedule and hope that tomorrow we will be able to hold upcoming races.”
At the second race Igor Goyhberg (RUS98, Zenith) lead most time at distance, but at last stint crews of Anatoly Loginov and Vasiliy Senatorov (RUS34, I feel good) outdistance him. Fight continue until finish, but positions at leaderboat didn’t change.
At “Classic” Gleb Suloev (RUS11, Tango) take first place during this race. We are happy to see “Yakhont” (RUS7) and “The Secret” (RUS18) at race, after yesterday damage. Both teams raced today and have good positions.
Anatoly Loginov (RUS27):
Weather today was like last year. We made a lot of mistakes that time and try not to make it this year. Today we try to catch wind and ( действовать по ситуации) We are at first place in overall ranking. It’s good, but only half of the regatta held. Last year, we also were at leaderboard , but final result was not in our favor. So, we can’t relax!
Dmitry Berezkin (RUS98):
Second race was very hard . Especially I remember fight at the bottom mark, which we crossed at the with the crews of Anatoly Loginov and Basil Senatorov. Despite fact that at first mark we were leading, but understood that (что они нас будут постепенно поджимать, и так оно и происходило, особенно – на полном курсе ) Of course we are upset. First we were disappointed because of Loginov`s overtaking after first mark and then defeat to Senatorov. But its sailing life! You are going first but came third its offensively, you are seventh and come fifth its excellent. We want to win. I think we can do it! Now Loginov is a leader but everything can change.
Vasily Senatorov (RUS34):
We are satisfied that we are sixth at overall rank. We were at difficult situation,( сумели на последней лавировке) won four position. At second race we took second place. Therefore all is good, we are happy, but we have two days of racing!
